A women at the beginning of the video was talking about thanksgiving and food Problematic and racism. Violence. Emerging leader of child hood education. Learning about Language. Vanessa uses Language as a tool to heal. Vanessa was in Dakota talking to someone that speaks another language. she is from south west Minnesota she works at Head start and is the director there. children of color Early Head start center based. Home based teacher.
Expectant families program. They serve sixty in the center Dakota language the school is called children are sacred school . An early childhood program in the lower Sioux Indian community in Southwestern Minnesota where children learn Dakota history and language .The thanksgiving pilgrim and Indian stories that many of us were taught as children perpetuate harmful stereo types.
Vanessa Good thunder a director of Cansayapi Wakanyenzi for the lower Sioux children are sacred school. I think Vanessa is very caring and wants to help children. She mentioned child molestation which she is against. she is also an emerging leader in childhood education in Minnesota. When children learn the language in Dakota is has there history and estronomy. and sense of belonging. you know who you are so you have a sense of where to go. she can speak perfect Dakota language. There's some corn where she is from on both sides of the place. she is Dakota and was born in 1994. she learned dakota as an adult. she dedicated her life to the language at eighteen. Her father got sick and she wanted to stay near minnesota. vannesa dedicated her life to language.
